Our winter companion the "Bora" wind blew at incredibly speed of 160 km/h (nearly 100 miles/h). The wind takes two different traditional names depending on associated meteorological conditions: the "light bora" (Italian: Bora chiara) is Bora in the presence of clear skies, whereas clouds gathering on the hilltops and moving towards the seaside with rain characterize the "dark bora" (Bora scura).
Oslavia woke after a sleepless night devastated by the power of the storm gusts. Beautiful century old trees and cypress are lost forever; roofs instead will be repaired.
Something to remind how Nature can be unforeseen.
